Blanca E. Mejia was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico and raised in Guadalupe, California. Ms. Mejia attended California State University, Fresno, and graduated with a degree in Criminology. Immediately thereafter, Ms. Mejia graduated from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department where she earned her Peace Officer Standards and Training Certificate. Ms. Mejia began a law enforcement career with the Fresno Police Department, and eventually lateraled to the Arroyo Grande Police Department, and finally to the San Luis Obispo Police Department. Ms. Mejia earned her law degree from the San Luis Obispo College of Law, a branch of Monterey College of law, and joined the law firm of Twitchell and Rice, LLP in 2021.
Ms. Mejia’s practice areas include: Civil Litigation, Business Law, Landlord/Tenant Law, Estate Planning and Probate.
Ms. Mejia is a member of the following bar associations: California State Bar, Northern Santa Barbara County Bar Association, and Santa Barbara Women Lawyers Association. Ms. Mejia enjoys devoting her time to local organizations as part of her commitment to the practice of law and serving her community. Ms. Mejia currently serves the community as follows: Family Service Agency, Board of Directors; Orcutt Children’s Arts Foundation, Board of Directors; San Luis Obispo College of Law, Assistant Professor; and San Luis Obispo College of Law Advisory Board, Board Member.
